Note, at left, that each speaker quoted had his and her own type style. That enhances readership. Not the typical corporate style of everything in Helvetica. (We've had a vendetta against Helvetica probably since before you were born!)
I have found that many newsletters promote events and make it almost impossible to find time/date/contact info. Note the bold new time announcement starting on the cover page.
